Bio
Image material conjures the photographic in a momentary stillness. My process is like reaching deep into the drain, pulling out the clump of hair, and detangling the slop. Images edge this drain, facing their impending disappearance. The resulting work is an attempt at momentarily distilling image material before it slips through the drain.
Robbie Rogers (b. 1996) is from Los Angeles and lives and works in New York City. He received his BA in Art from University of California, Los Angeles and his MFA in Visual Arts from Columbia University in 2023.
